Csilla has always been fascinated by the world of fashion design. She was 14 years old, when she started studying dressmaking and design in high school. At age 17 she placed first at the National Sewing Competition in her native Hungary and graduated as an honor student. Her business career began at a small dressmaking company. A year later she started her own business, specializing in custom-made garments.

Csilla has been designing and making ballroom gowns for many years. In her own words: “The two things I really love to do are making dresses and dancing and now I can combine the two.” Csilla Designs has been formed to share her dedication and exceptional skills in design and dressmaking with the dancing community. Every ballroom gown created by Csilla is a unique design! Her creative ideas and top quality fabrics and materials from England are matched with the clients' personality, needs and dreams. The end result is fashionable, time lasting design. Csilla favors fitting all gowns in person, if the situation allows. This ensures very comfortable and beautifully fitted dresses. ”A personal meeting with the dancer and fitting are very important for the creation of the PERFECT dress” she says.

Ever since a teenager, Csilla has been an active amateur competitor. It was through ballroom dancing that she met Balazs, her husband. In 1997 they relocated to the U.S. Once mastering English, Csilla enrolled in business school and graduated with high honors degree in Business Management. Csilla and Balazs are still active ballroom dancers, they currently compete in Open International Standard and Latin categories.
